Ok it cracks me up the way Brianna says M&M's. I've been trying to get her to say it the correct way but it's not sinking in! LOL

Trick or Treat
Grace was Ariel.
Brianna was an orange fairy
and Ariel was a pirate.

I just realized I never posted about Ariel. She is a little dog that we actually got from our neighbor about two weeks ago. They just moved on base and had three dogs but you are only allowed to have two. So we ended up with this one. She is small and only weighs a little under ten pounds. She even comes with her own wardrobe! LOL

Thanks Dot!
So I won't win any video awards...
Brianna practicing her cheers! I thought I could turn it like I do pictures but I guess not.
Good info for next time!
Brianna said it was ok, you can just watch with your head sideways!
At the end Brianna says it's enough pictures! I had been taking pictures of her making different faces.
I'm sure a blog for another day...
Fun days...
Brianna got her first goodie bag at school today, she was very excited! It was also picture day, she LOVED her dress because it twirled... I remember my favorite dress that twirled. Any guesses what it looked like? I know Amanda and my Mom will know! :)
I took the girls to the playground at school while Josh was at work. This is Grace sitting on the bars, can you believe she is only six? She has the longest legs and I'm sure will be taller then me.

Bedtime story
Last night when I was putting Brianna to bed she decided that she wanted to tell me a story, so this is how it went started:
"Once looong ago there was a beautiful little girl named Josh and Josh loved to go to the... mall."
There was more to the story I wanted to blog about but I didn't do it last night and now I can't remember the rest of the story.
I even forgot to tell Josh about it since he wasn't home when she told me so he will get to read it when he checks the blog next time! hehe

Crisis averted
Josh found caramel flavored and caramel apple flavored candy corn at the NEX at the hospital (it's not on this base) so while it's not the same it's satisfied the need.
Of course he said if anyone still sent some he wouldn't be offended! haha
Edited to add- I found real candy corn! Who knew it was such a big deal. Sheesh! :)

Doctors make me crazy
So my doctor called me at almost 8pm last night to tell me I am anemic. I knew that, I told the nurse that when I requested the blood work but it's nice to know my self diagnosis was correct. Anyways he proceeds to request that I go back for more blood work and begins talking about nasty sounding tests that I'm pretty sure I don't want to do. So this morning I called my gastric bypass doctor and talked to them and they said they have been seeing more of it in women who are in my age group. Nothing major just to start taking the iron that the doctor here recommended. When I see my doctor here I'll let him know what they said and hopefully avoid anymore tests unless the supplements don't work.
I'll keep you posted.
The upside is that I know I'll start feeling better soon!

Peggle
Grace LOVES Peggle and is very good at it! Today she beat Josh when they played together and then aced it when she played alone!
By the way, this is the new Peggle Nights. Thanks Steph! And, yes, Grace and Brianna have both beat me on occasion, and not from "letting them win" either. -Josh

Candy Corn
Anyone want to send Josh some candy corn? Otherwise I'm going to have to make it myself since it's nowhere to be found on the island!
Yummy recipe!
So I've made this a couple of times and it's easy and very good! The girls LOVE it! I made it in mini muffin pans so they are quick and easy for them to eat and once I made them for the PTO and they were a hit there too!
Crustless Spinach Quiche
INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 onion, chopped
1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
5 eggs, beaten
3 cups shredded Muenster cheese
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a 9 inch pie pan.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until onions are soft. Stir in spinach and continue cooking until excess moisture has evaporated.
In a large bowl, combine eggs, cheese, salt and pepper. Add spinach mixture and stir to blend. Scoop into prepared pie pan.
Bake in preheated oven until eggs have set, about 30 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Jeff's Pirate Cove
Since everyone was in a good mood today and had green days at school we decided to head off base and get some dinner. Sometimes you just need a change in the routine. So we started off thinking we would go to Hard Rock but along the way decided to go to Jeff's Pirate Cove instead. It was great! The girls like it, it wasn't busy because as we found out we got there not long before closing (they close at six how strange is that?!?!)
Anyways they have a bunch of these things you put your face in and the girls thought they were great fun. This was the only one they found for two people.
This is part of the view from where we were sitting having dinner. The weather was pretty cool tonight also so it was very nice!

Yucky bug
Some pictures
Here is one of Brianna this morning because I can't get the camera out without taking a picture of her! LOL I have no idea where she gets it from!
Here is a picture of our living room with the loaner furniture. Isn't it lovely? I think it looks like a doctors office waiting room!
These are the kind of pictures I find on the camera after Josh has been taking pictures!!! Ugh! He did say she washed her hands after!
Did you miss me?
So were still here! Sadly. Haha
We've been unpacking. Still. Plus I haven't been feeling good.
Hope is goes away soon because sick and heat with 1000% humidity do not go well together.

Wow what a mess
So I'm taking a break from unpacking and it's a mess. I swear the packers didn't even pay any attention to packing. They didn't wrap glass items in paper that are now broken but thinks like the cutting boards were very well wrapped. It doesn't make any sense. I guess it must have been different people packing different things. I unpacked the girls room first and they look pretty good. Still no parts to put their beds together, good thing they like their mattresses on the floor!

New addition to our extended family
Say a prayer for our new nephew that will be making his way to join the family this week! Baby J is nine months old and cute a button! Pray for a smooth transition as Dot and Robert make their way south to bring him home and for the funds to cover the adoption expenses to come through in a timely manner!
Welcome baby J we can't wait to meet you!

Our luck ran out
We moved from Cali to Iceland and back without too much trouble but this time we haven't even gotten everything in and already have several damaged pieces of furniture. Plus it's raining but I think they got everything off the truck and into the garage before it started.
They still have another crate to go pick up that has at least the couch in it.
Cross your fingers that nothing else is damaged.
Seriously I think I have killed like 50 flies. That is one bad thing about Guam is the HUGE amount of flies. Not sure why they have so many but they seem to LOVE the heat and if you have food outside it's a nightmare! Ugh
Well the movers just left and we have no parts to put either of the girls beds together. Good thing they don't mind sleeping on their mattresses on the floor!!! haha

We interrupt our regularly scheduled blogging...
for some cuteness...
Brianna snoozing in the car. I actually took a cute little video of this but I was holding the camera sideways so I don't think anyone wants to watch it! LOL
It's pretty muddy here and Grace rode through the mud then wiped out pretty good in the street making a sharp turn. She wanted to show off her wounds.
Grace (and Josh) LOVE this board thingy that belongs to one of our neighbors. I can't remember what it's really called but they both have a blast with it! It only has two wheels and you get it to go by kind of twisting it back and forth. It's quite the work out! If anyone finds one cheap in a thrift store or some place let me know!
Not to be left out, here is Josh. Check out those calf muscles!

Does she know she's only four?
So Brianna was just talking to my Mom on the phone and told her that she was getting a computer for Christmas. Her very own real computer, not a play one. Then she can do things on it like Mommy and Daddy. I overheard this part of the conversation and interjected that No I didn't think she was going to get her very own real computer for Christmas.
She replied " It's ok I'll just order one."
Um I don't think so.

One step closer to being "home"
We got a call yesterday at about 4pm that our stuff arrived on the island!!! Yay!!! After seven weeks it will be nice to have our own things again. They will be delivering it on Wednesday so the next few days will be a whirlwind of unpacking and finding new homes for things. I'm sure some things will be giving away also as there is almost no storage in our house here. I'm hoping once the girls rooms are set up and they have their own beds again it will help them getting settled too.

Boyfriends? We don't need no stinkin' boyfriends!
Grace came home from school the other day and said Cody is her boyfriend, she even had his phone number that he wrote down on a piece of paper! I told her he could be her friend but that's it!
She started Judo this week and her sensei (Josh said that's how to spell it, lol) said she is a natural. He said he can show her once and she is able to do it with no problems. She really likes it also which is nice. Now we have to find her a gi, of course all three places on the island are out of her size. Ah well that's why we have the internet.

I wanna be like the cool kids.
So you would think I'm talking about Grace, or even Brianna but no I'm talking about Josh. Today we are driving all the way up to Anderson so we can do to the uniform shop there to get the belt that everyone at his work is wearing.
He wants one too.
Like all the cool kids at work.
hehe

I was typing in the name of this post and it come up in the drop down box, I guess I've used it before! Anyways it fits so I'm using it again!
So I got up this morning and signed in to my online banking and found out someone went on a spending spree with my debit card in AZ. They hit Wal-Mart and Best Buy and I guess had a really good time.
Nice huh.

Lunch
Do I really have to make lunch? Didn't I just make it yesterday? AND the day before?
I'm pretty sure at least one person around here is going to expect dinner, again.
