The flip side of this is that Adam's cousin Matt(born in new zeland, moved to Australia around 7yrs old) is living temporarily here in the states. He can vote because he is an American citizen because his dad was born here. He's not planning on being here much longer but is going to excersise his "right" to vote. I think this is silly.
Amanda- How about I tell him who to vote for then it will work out right! LOL
Mary Anne- When I was in Iceland I was still a legal resident of California. In Guam I had to give that up so I can't vote in a state I'm not a resident of.
Jeni from the Block- My friend who was military shared this: http://www.fvap.gov/resources/media/fwab.pdf You may not be able to vote for anything but president, but you CAN vote. Of course, I found this out too late to help, but for future reference...

Did this happen when you were in Iceland too? I guess no absentee ballot by mail, huh?

Thanks for the information but that doesn't apply for my situation.
Thanks for thinking of me though!
